The Spring Branch Independent School District Board of Trustees recessed into executive session at 6:06 p.m. on Feb. 9 under multiple provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act to discuss personnel matters, personally identifiable student information, security deployments and audits, and the superintendent's evaluation. President Shannon Mahan reconvened the meeting at 7:29 p.m. and said, "no action was taken while in the closed session."
The minutes list the statutory authorities cited for the closed session as Texas Government Code Section 551.074 (personnel), Section 551.0821 (student PII), Section 551.076 (security deployment/audit) and Section 551.071 (consultation with legal counsel).
