Spearman ISD board adopts 2026–27 academic calendar

The Board of Trustees approved the 2026–2027 District Academic and Instructional Calendar as recommended by the District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC). The motion to approve the calendar was made by Abby Pipkin and seconded by Jay Tracy and passed 6-0 on April 13. Exhibit A in the meeting packet contains the full calendar grid and notations on six-week periods and staff/development days.
Board materials note semester and student-day totals (first semester 73 days; second semester 77 days; student days 150), teacher days (162) and campus minute totals displayed in Exhibit A. The calendar was approved without amendment and will guide the 2026–2027 school-year schedule.
