The Spearman ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously March 23 to declare a list of fleet vehicles and miscellaneous materials as surplus, finding them no longer necessary for district use and authorizing the superintendent to dispose of them under district policy. The motion was made by Trustee Scott Sonnenberg and seconded by Trustee Abby Pipkin; the motion carried 7-0.
The surplus inventory (Exhibit A) lists multiple buses (model years including 2007, 2013, 2016, 2021, 2024 and 2026 Freightliner activity buses), Chevrolet Suburbans, pickups, trailers and specialty equipment (for example, a 2016 John Deere Gator and multiple activity buses). The board authorized disposal in accordance with district surplus-property procedures.
