The superintendent told the board that a recent staff-and-family wellness event drew more than 200 attendees and thanked community partners for support. "We had over, over 200 staff and family for dinner and bingo, at the Elks," the superintendent said, thanking the Elks for reduced fees and staff who organized the event.
Board members and building administrators used the reports section to highlight student activities and successes. Jeff Roberts described CTE projects (student-built sheds), noted FBLA state competition results with multiple championships and top finishes, and said the district's partnership with Classic Community College will expand dual-credit offerings next year. Roberts also publicly recognized members of the 9th-grade success team for supporting freshman on-track rates (86% in the prior year) and listed staff who led the work.
Administrators from elementary and middle grades reported preview nights, mental-math competitions and multicultural night events scheduled April 30. The board also heard a reminder that April 23 will host a school-board candidate forum with student representatives and a moderator from OSBA, to be offered in person and on Zoom.
