The Seaside School Board approved a recommendation April 15 to issue a notice of intent to award CMGC phase 1 services to Brokamp and Jaeger Construction for the district's 2025 summer capital projects.
Brian Hartebeck, representing the selection committee, said the committee reviewed three proposals, met as a six-person group and "the recommendation, it was, a 100% consistent, number 1, member to be recommended for the selection." He reported the committee is recommending issuance of a notice of intent to award to Brokamp and Jaeger in the amount cited for phase 1 services.
Board members discussed the types of projects included in the summer work. Administration said examples include adding parking at the elementary school and enclosing open spaces at the secondary campus to add classrooms. A board motion to accept the committee recommendation was made and seconded, and the board approved the notice of intent by voice vote.
