The student board representative updated trustees on recent student accomplishments across athletics and the arts, including FFA team and individual placings, choir performances at the OSAA State Choir Championships, and district track and tennis events.
The student report named team members and individual placings (for example, Quinn Duff placed 3rd individually in an FFA event and other team members scored top-20 individual placings). The board also noted a regional art winner who placed third in Oregon in the congressional art competition; that student's work will be forwarded to the appropriate state office.
Board members and the superintendent praised the students. "We have incredibly talented students in the schools. It's absolutely phenomenal," the chair said during remarks acknowledging the recognitions and upcoming events such as scholarship night, graduation practice and graduation ceremonies.
