Superintendent Mr. Duff told the board the district is "really waiting on a May 14 forecast," noting that the state economic forecast could affect the district's funding outlook. He said state funding accounts for a little over 90% of the district's revenue and that the forecast will guide planning for the coming months.
"If it's a flat forecast or better, I don't think there's a lot of concern," Mr. Duff said. He added that if the forecast shows a significant decline it could affect state funding for the district. He also reported that district enrollment is steady at 1,543 students and described some students finishing early but still participating in graduation.
Board members were told to expect follow-up and additional budget discussion after the state forecast is released.
