Chief Miller told council that a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover seized following an OVI arrest was forfeited to the police department and is ready to be sold. The department recommended posting the vehicle on govdeals for auction; staff said photos and contact details for inspection will be posted and that any proceeds will go into the law enforcement trust fund for police equipment needs.
"It's a 2,015 Land Rover Range Rover. It's bright red in color with a tan leather interior," Chief Miller said, and estimated comparable Blue Book value in the $7,000–$10,000 range. Councilmember Stout moved and the council approved posting the vehicle on govdeals; police said funds from the sale will help pay for equipment upgrades such as a replacement intoxilyzer (breath-testing machine).
