Parks staff report restrooms nearly ready, several capital items ordered

Parks staff reported that a prefabricated restroom installation is nearly complete and expected to open at the end of next week as the growing season begins. The board was told maintenance and field preparation work will ramp up and seasonal staff will return to support operations.
Staff also reviewed FY26 capital activity: a mower on order with a 13–14 week lead time, a Web Climber unit that required aldermanic approval because it exceeded $50,000 and has been ordered, and mid-June installation dates for certain skate-park components. Staff said they will monitor vendor pricing and include alternates in bid packages where possible to retain flexibility.
