The Stamford Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Jan. 22 to approve a consent agenda that included budget amendments and the ordering of the May school trustee election.
"I make the motion to approve the consent agenda as presented," said Lauren Decker, who moved the measure; Curtis Birdsong seconded the motion. The board recorded seven yeas and no nays. The consent package listed approval of minutes; budget amendments for Stamford ISD and Tri County; no property bids; a scheduled board meeting date in February (the minutes record "Monday 9, 2025"); an order to hold school trustee elections in May; and notice of the general election.
Board members did not discuss the specific line-item changes publicly during the open session. The district provided public-participation instructions and policy references during the meeting and directed members of the public to district policy if they had unresolved complaints. The vote concludes routine procedural business and sets the administrative timeline for election and budget processing ahead of the spring calendar.
