Superintendent Nicole Albisu distributed a Board Policy 101 worksheet during the Feb. 23 work session to guide the board when reviewing policies that appear on future agendas. She explained the review process and how recommendations from OSBA are returned to the district for local consideration. "When there are OSBA recommendations that need to be updated on the districts end, that also gets reviewed by the Board," Albisu said.
Albisu walked through examples of how suggested changes appear in the policy text and described the district's review steps before final adoption. The worksheet is intended to help board members see recommended language and track where changes have been made or suggested.
