Bee County Commissioners Court approved a memorandum of understanding with Angel Care Ambulance Service that governs operational use of two ambulances purchased through the Texas House Bill 3000 ambulance service grant program administered by the Texas Comptroller.
Staff said the ambulances have been ordered and VIN numbers are on file; the MOU requires Bee County to retain title while the grant period and reporting obligations remain in effect and makes Angel Care responsible for insurance, maintenance and day‑to‑day operations. "The MOU specifies that while the county has to retain title to the 2 ambulances, AngelCare is responsible for everything else," said S8 during the discussion. The court approved the MOU by voice vote. Staff noted the county may discuss transfer of title to Angel Care after the grant requirements have been satisfied.
