District plans $200,000 reserve transfer, one bus purchase and gym floor work funded by ASB transfer

District staff outlined planned capital moves and transportation purchases for 2025–26. Denise said the district will transfer $200,000 from its first reserve to help offset first-year costs, and that a $100,000 transfer is budgeted to capital projects or the food service fund. She also described a new transfer from ASB to the general fund to fund a Mac High gym-floor revamp and an away-team locker room.
On transportation, staff said the transportation replacement fund budget is $300,000 this year because the district will purchase one bus (a midsize propane bus with a wheelchair lift) rather than two. “Our next bus was actually ordered almost 2 years ago, and it's coming in July,” a staff member said; staff noted long lead times for bus ordering and that depreciation from the fleet helps fund the replacement program.
