Board members urge restroom, shade and lab upgrades in facilities master plan input

Board members used their communications time to outline priorities they want considered in the facilities master plan. Board member Stewart told the board: "My answer to them was to improve restrooms, to provide more shade and trees for our students, a science lab at Belfair High School, aesthetics of our school basically like the paint..." She also suggested a secondary small gym for wrestling at Buffalo High to address equity between campuses.
Vice President Critchfield and others praised the guiding-coalition work and encouraged continued collaboration with stakeholders. The superintendent noted the master plan survey has more than 1,000 responses to inform future prioritization; the board did not take final action in open session but flagged these priorities for planning.
