District staff reviewed summer facilities work completed or underway across elementary campuses, describing projects intended to improve safety, accessibility and capacity ahead of the school year.
Staff listed specific projects: Spring Valley Elementary gained about 20 parking spaces, Greenwood Hills gained 53, Canyon Creek gained 17, several campuses received pavement and drainage improvements, auditorium seating and flooring were replaced and HVAC and cooling systems were repaired or replaced in multiple locations. “Como ustedes pueden ver, la diferencia es bastante grande,” a presenter said while showing before-and-after photos of renovated spaces.
Trustees asked follow-up questions about how site selections were made and whether some projects required bond funding; staff said capital funds and some external support were used and that a future bond would address longer-term facility needs.
