Board members noted parts of the district’s 2018–21 plan (mission, vision, Portrait of a Graduate, board conditions) remain useful and debated what to retain versus revise. Examples from Centennial, Hillsboro, Beaverton and Mt. Angel were discussed for format and public presentation. Members asked about procurement needs such as an RFP/RFQ and expressed interest in backward planning to identify steps and timelines; they directed staff to review examples and return for discussion at the March 12 work session.
There was no final vote; staff will prepare materials to support a subsequent decision on scope and procurement method.
