The Sunnyvale ISD Board of Trustees approved a student trip for members of Business Professionals of America to travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for the organization's national conference. The board voted 6-0 on April 14, 2026; Trustee Kelleyton Wilson, Sr. was recorded as absent.
Linda Gooch, board member, made the motion "that the 2026 Summer out-of-state trip for Business Professionals of America students to travel to Nashville, TN be approved as presented." The motion was seconded by Lee Mathew, board member, and carried unanimously by the six trustees present. Brad Cravens, board president, and Michael Threet, board secretary, were listed among those voting in favor. The record indicates a student presentation accompanied the recommendation prior to the vote; Superintendent Matt Kimball and Stacy Bellows, Director of HR & Support Services, were noted as present for the meeting.
The board opened the meeting for public comment but no members of the public addressed the trustees. Following the approval, Michael Threet moved to adjourn, seconded by Ben Wright; the meeting was later recorded as adjourned. The approved motion authorizes the out-of-state summer trip as presented to the board.
