Amos Bynington of AGCM and Justin Caskey of SpawGlass briefed the Taft ISD Board on the status of the new Taft High School project during the Jan. 20 meeting. Bynington provided scheduled pour dates and a brief timeline for remaining work.
"Concrete's first pour is scheduled for Friday, January 23, 2026, and will start at 3:00 a.m. and should be done by 11:00 a.m.," Bynington said. He added the second pour is projected for around Feb. 10–14, 2026, and estimated roughly two months to complete the concession stand; the original completion date had been Feb. 12, 2026.
The update gave trustees near-term dates to monitor; the board did not take a separate vote on the construction report, which was provided as an informational update from project representatives.
