Sweetwater ISD approves expansion to add Head Start classrooms

Mrs. Bills told trustees adding the classrooms would bring additional ADA funding and "wouldn’t add any additional expenditures to the district." Domingo Castillo moved to approve the plan; Dennis Cumbie seconded and the motion passed 7–0.
The board did not specify a start date in the meeting minutes; Region 14 staff said a waiting list will fill two classrooms. The board’s approval directs staff to proceed with the expansion and related facility moves, subject to scheduling and final logistics.
