Sulphur Bluff ISD board approves annual audit and November financials

The Sulphur Bluff ISD Board of Trustees on Nov. 20 approved the district's 2024–25 annual audit, following a presentation by Arnold, Walker & Arnold (AWA), and also approved the district's financial statements and November bills.
Trustee Brian Dorner moved to approve the annual audit report as presented by Arnold, Walker & Arnold; Trustee Jason Neal seconded the motion, which passed 4–0 with Trustees Chris Bassham, Dorner, Neal and Donnie Powers voting yea and three members absent. Earlier in the meeting Trustee Jason Neal moved, and Trustee Donnie Powers seconded, approval of the financial statements and bills for November; that motion also passed 4–0.
The board received the audit as a non-action presentation (AWA) before bringing the report forward for formal approval. No adjustments to the presented audit were recorded in the public minutes.
