The Stanton ISD Board of Trustees voted March 10 to certify the unopposed candidates for the May 2, 2026 trustee election and to approve an Order of Cancellation for that election.
Board member Reggie Franklin moved to approve the Order of Cancellation; the motion was seconded by Brandon Ireton and passed 4–0, with Kelly Allred, Ramiro Reyes and Tiffany Wells recorded absent. The board had earlier moved to certify the unopposed candidates by the same voting margin. The cancellations follow Texas election practice when all positions are uncontested and certification is completed.
The action means there will be no contested trustee races on the May 2 ballot for Stanton ISD. The board did not record further comment or public testimony related to the candidates on the transcript.
