Board reviews safety audit and campus reports, casts appraisal-district vote and adjourns

During the Nov. 10 meeting the board reviewed a three-year safety audit conducted by David Cox and Richard Salazar reviewed the Annual Board Calendar.
Elementary Principal DeAnn Wilson reported on enrollment, dress code, the campus newsletter and a campus rating plan update. High School Principal Gordon Martin reported on enrollment, dress code, the Veterans Day assembly and the band's Christmas concert. Coach Cornelius delivered the athletic director's report. Superintendent Scott Harrell also updated the board on Team of 8 training, TDA cafeteria audit results and SB 546 school-bus information. The board then approved a resolution to cast one vote toward the Cochran Central Appraisal District board in favor of Vicki Rice (motion by Clay Carr; second by Ryan Netherland), and adjourned at 7:35 p.m.; Benediction was given by Dustin Provence.
