The Sulphur Bluff ISD Board of Trustees approved a one-year extension to the superintendents contract, extending the term through the 2028-2029 school year. Donnie Powers moved the extension and Brian Dorner seconded; the board voted 6-0 with Jason Neal absent to approve the contract extension.
The board also approved a separate personnel motion to hire Kim Skinner as an instructional aide. That motion was made by David Caldwell and seconded by Donnie Powers and passed 6-0 with one absence. The actions followed an executive session on the superintendents evaluation and contract. The meeting record lists the official votes for both motions as Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
