District to update facility‑use rates after staff finds current AR out of date

Staff cited examples showing published custodial rates of $25 an hour on the AR while current incurred staffing costs are closer to $65 an hour. "This room itself is $5 per hour," the presenter said as an example of published rates that do not cover electricity or staffing.
Staff said aggregate facility-use revenues over the last three years were about $50,000 less than the costs of staffing and utilities and recommended the board receive an updated AR and adjusted fee schedule at the September meeting. Members raised potential consequences for longstanding partnerships and asked staff to try to locate any prior grandfathered agreements with the city.
