City received three RFQ responses for city engineer; council to form small review committee

Christine reported that the city's request for qualifications (RFQ) for a city engineer went live and that three firms have submitted responses. Because the IMS posting showed January 18 as the deadline while the original RFQ listed January 10, the council agreed to honor the January 18 date and keep submissions unsealed until that time. "So our RFQ went live and had quite a few firms reach out...We have received 3 responses," Christine said.
Council discussed forming a small RFQ committee to score proposals and the need for nondisclosure guidance for reviewers; Christine and two councilmembers were listed as the committee with Don offering to provide the scoring matrix and packet. Don said he would pull the matrix from the RFQ and send it to committee members. Council did not take a formal vote to hire a firm at this meeting; next steps include committee scoring and candidate interviews.
