Throckmorton Collegiate Independent School District trustees met Feb. 18, 2026, in the new cafetorium and voted unanimously to cancel the May 2026 school board election and to approve routine consent items. The cancellation motion was made by Trustee Cole Clark and seconded by Trustee Sandra Redwine; the minutes record a 7–0 vote in favor.
The board also approved the previous meeting minutes (motion by Trustee Brady Ash, seconded by Kena Whitfield) and the TCISD financial report (motion by Trustee Whitney Waller, seconded by Trustee Terry Lowery), each by unanimous roll-call votes. The minutes do not specify a reason for cancelling the May election or the procedural next step for filling any seats; the record simply states the board "took action to cancel the election."
