Chair Greg noted the grant requires at least two public outreach sessions. Bill and others flagged possible negative reaction from owners of an adjacent new house; Anne pointed to the need to explain the project's benefits and examples of similar successful projects. The group agreed outreach is material to the application and to include details about buffers, fencing and deer controls.
The commission also discussed reaching out to the state contact (Pete/Picone) and to a former commissioner who has connections at DEEP to encourage coordination with neighboring state-owned land.
