At the April 13 meeting, Superintendent Mr. Deaver recommended hiring a High School career and technical education (CTE) teacher, a Junior High special education position and an Assistant Principal at the Elementary campus to meet district needs for the 2026–27 school year.
Trustee Reuben Johnson moved to approve the new positions and Trustee Tanner Voelkel seconded. The motion passed with six yeas and one absence (Blaine Akin). Board members discussed the need for the positions; the minutes state simply that the district is "in need of these positions." No salary or start-date details were recorded in the minutes.
These hires were presented as staffing priorities during the budget and personnel portion of the agenda; the board approved the positions so administrators can proceed with recruitment and contract offers.
