Sudan ISD sets May 2, 2026 election for two at-large trustee seats

Superintendent Scott Harrell recommended the election, noting that the seats held by Clay Carr and Ryan Netherland are expiring and that the terms will be three years.
"I recommend we order a General Election to be held on May 2, 2026, for the election of two at-large Trustee positions," Superintendent Scott Harrell said, and the board approved the recommendation on a 5-0 roll call (motion by Joe Ky Shultz; second by Dustin Provence). The board also approved a resolution to hold a joint election with the City of Sudan, the Notice of General Election Order and early voting notices, and designated early voting and Election Day locations and times.
The board’s actions set the administrative framework for conducting the election and delegate routine operational appointments to district administration and designated election officials.
