"In previous years, the Garden Fall Festival has become approximately has welcomed approximately 11,500 visitors," the festival presenter (S8) said while outlining event elements and a revised layout intended to deconflict the 5K from the parade route. Councilmembers asked about participant estimates and refund policy for upfront sponsorships; the presenter responded that roughly 1,000 participants would be needed to cover event costs and that partnerships with local running groups and vendors were in place to support registrations.
Council expressed support for the creative approach while asking staff to ensure routing and staffing deconfliction with the parade and pancake/bingo events. A motion to approve related contracts was moved and seconded during the discussion; staff will finalize contracts and sponsorship commitments.
