Brian Meyer of Burns & McDonnell (S12) told the council the potential source meets both quantity and quality objectives — a core consideration for sustainable supply — and that routing, pipe size and material choices will determine costs. Council approved the recommendation by voice vote (motion carries 5-0).
Next steps: staff will proceed with the task-order scope, return with refined construction cost estimates (likely informed by task-order deliverables) and present financing options when project costs are better defined.
