CRW flags Block Street and Main Street sewer problems; recommends camera work and targeted replacements

On Main Street, which carries most of the town’s wastewater, CRW said many manholes were inaccessible and that camera inspections and summer I&I (inflow and infiltration) studies are needed to determine whether lining or full replacement is required. CRW emphasized that Main Street work would be disruptive and likely require close coordination with Alaska DOT and substantial study before a firm recommendation.
