Support services: CEP not financially sustainable at current qualifying rate; district enrollment rises

Preston Lindsey (Support Services) explained the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program and said that, "the district would be in a deficit of $24,000 to $28,000 per month" at the current qualifying percentage. He said CEP could be applied for in June, but that higher family participation (completion of paperwork) would be required to make the program monetarily sustainable for the district.
Blake Rowe reported finance items including cash and investments and that tax collections stood at 19.92% of the current-year levy compared with 20.26% at the same point the prior year. Superintendent Jones reported current district enrollment of 1,077, up from 1,056 at this time last year.
