External auditor gives Troup ISD an unmodified opinion; board accepts audit

Molly Abele, CPA of Carr, Riggs, and Ingram, L.L.C., presented the district's financial audit for the year ended Aug. 31, 2025, reporting "no findings to report and there was an unmodified opinion in the Annual Financial Report on the financial statements as a whole." She told the board the district's total combined net position was $9,722,154 at Aug. 31, 2025, an increase of $75,831 over the prior year (before prior period adjustment).
Vic Bansal moved to approve the financial audit report for the school year ending Aug. 31, 2025; Todd Kelly seconded. The motion carried 7–0. The approval places the external auditor's unmodified opinion into the district's public records; no audit exceptions or corrective findings were reported at this meeting.
