At the Sept. 8 meeting, Assistant Superintendent Drenon Fite briefed the board on the SB 1267 professional development clearinghouse and its requirements for mandatory training. Following the presentation, the board voted to approve the clearinghouse under the SB 1267 framework.
Mr. Fite said the clearinghouse "outlines mandatory training for district staff." The approval was made after a motion by Mr. Dennis Williams and a second from Mr. Curt Smith; trustees voted 6-0 in favor. The transcript records no additional conditions or amendments to the approval.
Board action places the clearinghouse on record for district implementation of SB 1267-related professional development requirements.
