Taft ISD gets construction update as new high school reaches next concrete pour

SpawGlass project lead Justin Caskey updated the Taft ISD Board of Trustees on progress at the new high school construction, saying, "Pour 2 of 7 is scheduled for February 23rd." He told trustees the district will distribute flyers to neighboring properties about the upcoming pour.
Caskey and district construction managers described remaining work on athletic facilities and support buildings. Amos Byington of AG/CM said a punch list is being prepared for the baseball and softball fields and that plans for the concession stand are under discussion; the concession building is a Mueller structure currently on Mueller's site awaiting delivery. Trustees were told bids are coming for the tennis courts and that transportation and agriculture building volumes are still under review, with more detailed updates expected in March.
