Council recognizes Little League champions and approves fall community events

Mayor Razze honored the Pitman Little League Minors All Stars for district and sectional championships and state success; council also approved permits for Community Day, a Knights of Columbus coin drop and the library Halloween parade and promoted upcoming local festivals.
Mayor Razze presented special recognition to the 2024 Pitman Little League Minors All Stars for winning District 15 and Section 4 and placing third in the New Jersey state tournament. He noted the team "outscored their opponent 93 to 22, with a record of 8-2" and highlighted pitcher Laurel Eisenhart, who was recognized for "112 strikeouts over 10 games, and pitched a perfect game."
Council also approved event permits with insurance for Community Day (Pitman Police Department, Sept. 18), a Knights of Columbus coin drop (Sept. 28 with Oct. 12 rain date), and the Friends of the McCowan Memorial Library Halloween Parade (Oct. 31). Council members and staff encouraged residents to sign up for the town-wide yard sale and promoted the Lori Poisker Memorial Craft Show and the Oct. 5 Green Fair/Porchfest.
