Pickerington will keep kindergarten Chromebooks at school, district forecasts $760,000 savings

The presenter said the change gives an anticipated savings of $760,000. Board members asked how that will affect homework and communication; the presenter said families may see more paper-based tasks and that assistive-technology needs will continue to be met for students who require them.
Superintendent Dr. Smialek and board members framed the device policy as part of a broader rebalancing of blended learning and instructional choices rather than a blanket removal of technology.
