Paulsboro council confirms multiple appointments, hires and police personnel moves

Council approved several personnel and appointment measures. The Paulsboro Historic Preservation Commission appointments (Dana Gayeski reappointment; Sandra Birch new Class C member) and a full five-year appointment for Beth Crane to the Gill Memorial Library Board were approved. Mayor Giovannitti nominated Council President Thomas to the Land Use Board and that appointment passed with one opposing vote.
In personnel actions, council adopted R.25.67 and R.25.68 to convert Jeff Leach to Housing Inspector and Brian Zane to Code Officer (full-time). Police resolutions R.25.62 and R.25.63 appointed Anthony Vignola as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer (enabling academy attendance in April 2025) and promoted Patrolman Ryan Sheehan to Patrolman Second Class effective March 1, 2025. The council also received and filed the resignation of Gill Memorial Library Director Antoinette Ruta effective Feb. 1, 2025.
