A resident asked whether the new building design would be the same as previously discussed; officials replied that the structure is "very, very similar" and largely on the same footprint, adding the plan includes a front porch, interior and exterior restrooms and a small recreation office. "This is the public hearing for the proposed Oak's House project. It is a Green Acres project," the council president said when opening the item. Council members confirmed that because Green Acres funding was used, the facility must remain for recreational purposes and that use restrictions and ADA accessibility are requirements.
Members of the public asked about prefabrication, timing and public access; staff said the building is not prefab, hoped for early summer completion, and reiterated that Green Acres rules limit non‑recreational uses. The hearing record will remain open per the public‑hearing notice and the council closed the public comment period after those present had been heard.
