Stockdale ISD to submit corrective-action materials after staff training on IDA finding

The board reviewed a corrective action plan tied to an IDA finding and confirmed that the district conducted training on what constitutes a DVA/IDA and the steps staff should take when an internal or external door or gate is not working properly.
Meeting materials recorded that the training took place at 8:00 AM on Jan. 19, 2026 and that the agenda, sign-in sheets and corrective action plan will be provided to the Safety and Security Committee at its February meeting. Maintenance staff will receive new building numbers to implement as part of the DVA plan.
The Safety and Security IDA review was discussed further in closed session; when trustees reconvened the board stated no further action was required.
