Stockdale ISD board adopts Region 20 strategic plan; 6–0 vote

The Stockdale Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 6–0 Jan. 19, 2026 to adopt a draft strategic plan prepared by Region 20. The motion to approve the plan was made by Blaine Akin and seconded by Reuben Johnson; Tanner Voelkel was recorded absent.
Chris Galloway of Region 20 accompanied the recommendation with a short video and a landscape analysis of classroom walk-throughs, data observations, interviews and surveys conducted during a fall visit. Galloway told trustees, "These are 3–5 year priorities and will develop goals by Springbreak," describing three priorities as Curriculum Priority; Instructional Fidelity and Growth; and Talent Management.
The board's adoption establishes the priorities as the district's strategic focus for the next several years. Trustees and staff said goal-setting work tied to the priorities will continue through the spring, with milestones and measurable objectives to be developed before or by spring break.
