The Stanton ISD Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda and voted to pay district bills at the Dec. 8 meeting, while recording two conflict-related abstentions on a payment to Franklin and Son.
Ramiro Reyes moved "Motion to approve consent agenda as presented and pay all bills except for Franklin and Son." The motion passed by a 7-0 vote, according to the minutes. Later, a separate motion to pay Franklin and Son was recorded; Kelly Allred and Reggie Franklin each "abstain[ed] (with conflict)," and the payment motion passed with five yea votes and two abstentions.
The consent agenda covered the board minutes, monthly finance report, budget amendments and the quarterly investment report. Trustees did not discuss line-item dollar amounts for the contested vendor on the public record during the meeting minutes. The minutes show voting details for each trustee on those motions.
