Jeff Johnson reported on behalf of the South Umpqua Foundation that the annual dinner and auction is scheduled for Nov. 1 at Seven Feathers and the theme will be Mardi Gras for the foundation's 20th year. He asked board members and administrators to think of auction ideas and said classroom grant applications are due by the beginning of November; the foundation has up to $10,000 to award.
The foundation's outreach and fundraising items were informational; no board action was required. Johnson encouraged creative ideas for the event and noted invitations will be sent to board members and administrators.
