Chair (S1) led the board through a series of motions and voice votes approving the 2025–26 district calendar and multiple resolutions to appropriate special revenue funds and personnel actions.
Approved items included a resolution to appropriate funds for a POPS school violence prevention program (Resolution 2025-03); a facilities assessment technical assistance resolution (2025-04); a seismic assessment technical assistance resolution (2025-05); probationary teacher contract renewals (2025-06); contract teacher extensions (2025-07); probationary administrator contracts (2025-08); contract administrators extensions (2025-09); a classified employee appreciation week resolution (2025-10); approval of the superintendent evaluation form/process (9.10); and nonrenewal of temporary teacher contracts under Resolution 2025-11.
Director/Staff (S4) explained a memorandum of understanding the board approved that provides relocation reimbursement of up to $1,500 for newly hired teachers who move within a specified proximity. The MOU was negotiated with the bargaining unit and includes receipt and documentation requirements; staff will publicize the program and administer reimbursements per the business office form.
