City staff presented an authorization for a temporary one-day, on-sale liquor license for Jackie B's Kitchen and Cocktails so the business may serve alcoholic beverages at the Pork Chop Dinner and Music in the Park on Aug. 1 from 5 to 10 p.m.
A councilor moved to approve the license for the event; the motion was seconded and carried on a 4-0 vote. Councilors offered no substantive objections and no public comments were recorded on the item.
The license approval allows the event organizers to provide on-site alcoholic sales during the stated event hours; any required follow-up paperwork or fees will be handled by city staff and the applicant.
