The vendor said it is piloting Samsara safety technology—AI-enabled in-cab alerts, proactive vehicle health monitoring, and turn-by-turn routing—and installing the equipment at no cost to the district. First Student also highlighted three newly introduced electric buses and the First View GPS-based tracking app that lets parents monitor bus location and arrival, which staff said has reduced calls to schools asking about bus whereabouts.
