Eatontown council approves consent agenda, tables developer agreement for Old Orchards

Key items approved on the consent agenda include: a Developer's Agreement with Eatontown Chicken, LLC to rebuild a Popeyes at 25 Highway 35 (Resolution 38-2026); confirmation of borough professional appointments (Res. 39-2026); authorization of tax sale certificate redemptions and professional service contracts (Res. 40-2026 and Res. 41-2026); permission for Monmouth County mosquito-control aerial operations (Res. 42-2026); a grant application to NJ Department of Community Affairs for Wampum Park gazebo repairs (Res. 43-2026); municipal support for AYR Wellness NJ II LLC to continue operating a licensed cannabis retail facility at 59 Route 35 North (Res. 44-2026); and appointment of an interim tax assessor (Res. 46-2026). Council made the consent vote as a package following the clerk’s presentation of the listed resolutions. There was no public comment on the consent items during the meeting and no roll‑call dissent among members present.
