Waller ISD recognizes safety awards and community partners at Oct. 9 meeting

Trustee David Kaminski presented a TASB scholarship to Hailey Hopkins. ESC Region 4 Assistant Directors Brian Hastings and Max Toliver presented school‑safety recognitions, including Active Shooter Preparedness Certification and the Dr. Rod Paige School Safety Award. Executive Director Jamie Woodall named a list of local safety partners—Harris County Sheriff's Office, Waller County Sheriff's Office, City of Waller Police, several ESDs, Waller County EMS/City of Prairie View, and Waller County Fire Marshal’s Office/Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management—and Superintendent Mayes recognized community partner All Out Graphics.
The recognitions highlighted district collaborations with local safety and emergency agencies and acknowledged student and staff achievements.
