Waelder ISD board approves administrator, counselor and teacher contracts

The Waelder ISD Board of Trustees approved a set of personnel contracts at its Feb. 16 meeting. Trustees voted to approve administrator and counselor contracts for Sharon Talbert (Elementary Principal), Traci Talley (Secondary Principal), Sarah Lott (Counselor) and Ashly Taylor (Grant Coordinator/Curriculum Director). The motion to approve those contracts was made by Troy Sullivan and seconded by Avery Williams, and it passed unanimously.
The board also approved teacher contracts for the 2025–26 school year for Cynthia Lasseter, Louis Lasseter and Ricardo (Richard) Lopez; the motion was made by Troy Sullivan, seconded by Avery Williams and carried unanimously. These actions were taken as part of the consent and personnel sections of the regular agenda.
